Through the Gate

   Through the Gate - The story follows the life of Tico, who lives in a small house in the countryside. He is friends with a boy who is his assistant. One day he receives the news that the boy had been killed. When he arrives where the boy should be, he sees a hideous creature running away with him in its arms and decides to go after him.

   The world in this game is made up of three parts: the normal world, in a colorful style, with clouds, trees and a landscape in the background, with some challenges in the form of puzzles and it will be necessary to use strategies to get through, made up of light and medium-sized enemies, with mini-bosses in certain levels. 

   The underworld, which the character will enter after passing through the portal, has a darker style with red colors and frightening background sounds, with stronger enemies, where we will have to face the Sovran's army, commanded by the Major. 

   The last world is the castle of the underworld's demon, in a medieval castle theme in the style of “Castlevania”, a dark environment where you will need to use the torch mechanic to light up the way, containing more powerful enemies and bosses.

Main mechanics:

<Jump mechanic> jump over obstacles, holes and enemies.

<Life mechanics> the player will start with a number of lives and will be able to recover some during the stage if he takes damage.

<Resurrection point mechanics> When passing a stage he will obtain an extra life point which, upon death, will allow him to return to the last checkpoint reached, otherwise he will return from the beginning.

<Checkpoint mechanics> Certain parts of the game will contain respawn points where the player can return after dying, if he has extra lifes.

<Torch mechanics> In the castle section, the player will start in the dark, being able to see a little around and will receive a torch at a certain point to be able to light the way.
